Lens
A shaped piece of glass or plastic that causes light to refract (bend) when passed through it. There are two tyoes of lens:concave and convex. In a concave lens the surface of the lens is ground to a specific shape to bend parallel light coming into it to converge at a single point, or focal point, on the other side. A convex lens does the opposite.
